Dahican Beach, Mati, Davao Oriental

It has been a while since I have last updated this blog. I have been very busy and lazy at the same time the past few weeks. I went home to Davao and stayed there for 3 weeks just doing nothing but sleep, eat and do a little work.

One Saturday morning, I decided to explore Mati since I have never been to that place and I have heard lots of good things about it.

I took the Bachelor's Express from Tagum City and it was a little more than 3 hours to get there. About 30 minutes before reaching the city proper, the view from the bus was stunning. The ocean was blue and the islands were green. It was really refreshing to see those sceneries.

I arrived at the city proper about half past one in the afternoon and decided to go straight to Dahican beach. It was about 45 minutes ride by motorcycle from the city proper. The driver asked me to pay P40 ( I realized I was overly charged since I was only charged P25 when I get back to the city) to be dropped in Dahican beach area.

I headed straight to Botona beach resort hoping that they would serve lunch as I was quite hungry already. I've read somewhere that they are serving grilled fish and other seafood meals. To my dismay, they were no longer serving food for lunch. I ended up drinking softdrink. They don't even have biscuits or chips for sale in their mini store.

Instead of thinking of my hunger, I went to the beachside and was amazed by the beauty of the pristine beach. It was a worth it short trip. I definitely would like to revisit the place and stay for a longer period.
