Day 13 of PHL50 : Staring at the Majestic Mount Mayon from Ligñon Hill in Legazpi, Albay

Leaving Sorsogon
I left Sorsogon in the morning to revisit the province of Albay. It will be my second time in the province and I still felt the same excitement as the first time I was on my way to Albay

Hello Legazpi, Albay
I arrived in Legazpi, Albay before lunch time. I have a reservations with Casablanca Suites and based on my research they are located close to the Bus Terminal. When the bus arrived at the terminal, I immediately went out and took a tricycle going to Casablanca Suites. I can't wait to check-in, relax a bit and continue my journey in the Bicol Region.

Gastronomic Cravings
After a little rest, I went out of the hotel and decided to have a late lunch at small talk cafe. The restaurant offers tasty and delicious local cuisines with a twist. I had their Mayon pasta and without a doubt it satisfied my hungry stomach.

Ligñon Hill
After having my lunch, I decided to go to Ligñon hill to have a different perspective of the majestic Mount Mayon. The first time I was there, I went to Daraga Church and Cagsawa Ruins and viewed the Mayon Volcano from there. I wanted to revisit those two places but I had a limited time so I went straight to Ligñon Hill.
View from the top - aerial view of Legazpi City
I decided not to rent a tricycle going up. I thought it was easy but it was the other way around. After about an hour of hike and rest, I was able to reach the top. The view was awesome. I took  some photos and started trekking back to the highway.

Dinner Time
I reached the city proper 30 minutes past 6 and I decided to have a barbecue dinner. I went to the city's barbecue place near Gaisano and LCC mall. After dinner, I decided to go back to the hotel to freshen up as I planned of going to Embarcadero de Legazpi to have a bottle of cold beer and socialize basically.

Embarcadero de Legazpi
It was already late when I arrived in Embarcadero de Legazpi, some shops have already closed and I thought the place where the bar is located would open until late at night only to find out that they also close as early as 10PM.

A Small Bar
I was walikng my way back to the hotel when I heard a guy singing a country music. I found it interesting as he has a very captivating voice so I entered the bar and ordered a bottle of beer and listened to the music. He played the guitar too and he definitely rocks. On his last set, I decided to return back to the hotel as it was already past 1AM. Arrived in the hotel after about another 10 minutes walk and I slept comfortably in my bed.

That ended the day 13 of PHL50 in Legazpi, Albay.
