Day 48 of PHL50 : A Day Trip to Misamis Oriental

data-ad-format="link">
On the 48th day of PHL50, I was very happy to travel with some Iligan Bloggers for a beach escape in the town of Initao, Misamis Oriental. Jam of TravelJams, Ate Arlene of Pinay Travels, Richard of Awesome Mindanao and Alex of Choose Iligan accompanied me in my beach and park adventure.

I did not know that there is actually a white beach somewhere in Misamis Oriental. So I was kinda surprise when we entered the Midway Resort. It was a day of beach bumming and gastronomically satisfying experience.

It was full-packed with beach goers. There were already a lot of people when we arrived but we still managed to get our own hut to stay for the day. We did not bring any food with us, so we ordered food in the restaurant and had our lunch by the beach. It was a sumptuous lunch shared with the awesome Iligan bloggers.

Initao National Park
After beach bumming we headed to Initao National Park where we stayed until almost sunset. The Initao - Libertad Protected Landscape and Seascape is blessed with both land-based and marine-based features. The park is around 30 minutes away from Iligan and about 45 minutes away from Cagayan de Oro City. It is located in the municipality of Initao in the province of Misamis Oriental. Entrance Fee to the park is only P10.

We definitely had so much fun at the park. We enjoyed the fresh air and the sea breeze. It was a relaxing journey, indeed.

Sunset at the Iligan Centennial Park
It was one of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed. The sky was just awesome. We were so lucky to have witnessed it.
