Chasing Waterfalls : Pampam Falls in Iligan City

Pampam Falls, one of the more than 20 waterfalls in Iligan is located in Barangay Dalipuga, Iligan City. It is about 13 kilometers away from the city proper and about 20 minutes from the jump-off point in the barangay proper to the waterfall. It is one of the most accessible waterfalls in the city.

Pampam Falls was the first stop of our waterfalling adventure tour in Iligan City. We chartered a jeepney from the city proper going to Barangay Dalipuga. It took us about 15 minutes to reach the jump-off point. We rested for a bit, ate some snacks and then we started trekking to Pampam Falls.

After about 20 minutes of trekking, we finally arrived at the falls. Before heading to the main waterfall, some kids told us that there is another waterfall just a few meters away from where we were. We did not want to miss the chance of seeing it so we followed the kids and found ourselves amazed of what we saw. The falls has no name so we called it "Little Pampam".

After dipping into the waters of Little Pampam, we headed to Pampam Falls and took our lunch. After satisfying our gastronomic cravings, some of us dipped into the waters of Pampam Falls. It was cold and refreshing. The basin is not too deep so it's a good place to swim.

Some of us wanted to stay more but we have another waterfall to chase so we had to bid goodbye to Pampam.

How to get to Pampam Falls?
Take a Dalipuga bound jeepney from the city proper, travel time is around 15-20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you at the Kalubihon intersection in Brgy. Dalipuga. From there take a habal-habal going to Kalunihon Elementary School, travel time is around 10 minutes. Ask the locals for direction or hire a guide if you are uncertain.

This is part of my Waterfalling Adventure Tour (WAT) 2.0  experience in the city of majestic waterfalls.
