Surigao City is the capital of the province of Surigao del Norte. It is labeled as the city of island adventures as it offers a number of both island and water activities.  Some of the most known destinations in the city include the Mabua Pebble Beach, Day-Asan Floating Village, Silop Caves, Punta Bilar Dive site, San Pedro - Cantiasay Wooden Footbridge and Looc Beach. Le Chard Place Bed & Breakfast is conveniently located along the the national highway across St. Paul College and a walking distance from Gaisano Mall and the bus terminal. It is very close to the airport as well. The hotel is a little far from the city center but a lot of jeepneys are passing by just in front of the hotel going to the city center. 

The room that we had was decent. The room was big enough for the three of us and it was clean. Room rates are very affordable which starts at P920 for a standard room.

How to get there: As I mentioned above, the hotel is very close to the bus terminal and the airport. You can either take a tricycle or walk.


Miami City Suites
Miami City Suites is pretty much a new hotel in Surigao City. It is situated within the city center and it mostly caters to budget travelers. It is a walking distance to most business establishments, shopping stalls, banks, fast food chains and the city park. Room rates start at P750 for a standard single occupancy room and P950 for a standard double occupancy room.

Surigao Tourist Inn is a budget hotel which is situated one tricycle ride away from the city center. It offers comfortable accommodation at a very low prices. Room starts at P595 for a standard room with shared T&B and P665 for deluxe room with attached T&B.

How to get there: From the airport - You can charter a tricycle from the airport to the hotel for approximately P150 depending on your bargaining skills. The cheapest option is to walk out of the airport going to the highway and take a jeep to the city center (P8). From the city center, take a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you at Surigao Tourist Inn near Kaskag Bridge (P8). From the bus terminal - take a jeep/multicab to the city center and then tricycle to the inn.
