In the Philippines, the 7th largest island is the Mindoro Island. Oriental Mindoro takes pride in its wonderful tourist attractions including majestic mountains, premier snorkeling and diving spots, entertaining parks, and white sand beaches among others. Local and foreign tourists both love the impressive natural views of the island. Talipanan Beach. Every summer, tourists flock in this paradise. Talipanan Beach is found in Puerto Galera where pristine white sand is available. You will also find peace in this serene island because it’s not that crowded.


Bulalacao Island. If you want a breath of fresh air, Bulalacao Island can give you new surroundings. The place consists of 13 untouched islets that resemble a shooting star or meteor where it got its name.

Tukuran Falls. Also located in Puerto Galera, Tukuran Falls is one of the must-visit places in Oriental Mindoro. You will experience here riding carabao and nature tripping. The fun never ends even if you reach this marvelous falls hidden in the mountains of Mindoro.

Mount Malasimbo. This place is best visited during March. Why? Because it’s the time of Malasimbo Music and Arts Festival, a popular event where you will witness Mangyan culture, music, and the arts.

Mount Halcom. Mt Halcon is 2505 m in height and is considered by many to be one of the most challenging peak in the Philippines. It stands over Calapan from the west. 


Muelle Cross. This is one of the highlights of an Oriental Mindoro trip especially in Puerto Galera. The Muelle Cross is found in Muelle Pier which is worth your camera shots.

How to Get There
You can reach Oriental Mindoro by plane, boat, bus, or van. But the most common transportation is via bus. From Cubao station, ride a Dimple Star bus going to San Jose Occidental. Fare is around 1,200 pesos, but rates may differ depending on the bus or van you will take. You will travel through South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to reach Laguna and then to Batangas Port Terminal. Always bring food and water so you’ll have a comfortable ride going to Mindoro.
