Talicud Island in the Island Garden City of Samal is home to some of the most gorgeous beaches in Davao Region. A visit to Davao is not complete without exploring and experiencing the pristine white sand beaches of Samal.

Talicud Island is about an hour away from Davao City. There are a number of boat trips from Davao City’s Sta. Ana Wharf near Magsaysay Park to the island on a daily basis. During weekends, it gets crowded so you must be at the port as early as possible to make sure you get a seat in the boat. The schedule below is usually being followed on weekdays. On weekends, the boat departs as soon as it is full regardless of the time. (Read: Beach Resorts in Samal Part 2)  

Davao to Talicud Island Boat schedule

Sta. Ana Wharf to Isla Reta/Sta. Cruz Port

ISLA RETA BOAT

Take this boat if you are heading to Isla Reta Beach Resort.

  • 9:00 AM

If you are heading to other parts of Talicud Island you can take the public boat listed below. You may also take this going to Isla Reta. The ferry terminal in Sta. Cruz is a walking distance to Isla Reta Beach Resort.

  • 1:30 PM

  • 5:30 PM

Sta. Cruz Port / Isla Reta to Sta. Ana Wharf

Isla Reta boat departs from Isla Reta Resort while Pacific leaves from Sta. Cruz Port.

Travel Time

The travel time from Sta. Ana Wharf to Talicud Island and vice-versa by boat is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
