The free tour will take 2.5 hours including travel time from the airport to the city.
There are two types of tours – the Heritage Tour which will bring you to Singapore’s past and present (the one I availed of) and the City Sights Tour which showcases modern Singapore. The former is a day tour while the latter is a night tour.
In the Heritage Tour I availed, we visited Merlion Park with a perfect view of Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer, passed by Chinatown, Little India and other interesting sights and ended up at Arab Street and visited the Kampong Glam.
The free Singapore tour is available to transiting passengers with long layover in Singapore. You must at least have 5.5 hours (6 hours for City Sights) to spare before your connecting flight.

Important things to note:
- you must remain at the transit area and do not clear immigration
- no video or photo inside the bus, but you can take photos of the sights while in the bus.
- you are not allowed to stand while the bus is moving
- be punctual, if the guide sets a time, follow it otherwise you will be on your own.
- you must have a valid visa or hold a visa-free status in order to avail of the free Singapore tour.
