How to Go to Taj Mahal from New Delhi by Train
The main railway station in Delhi is the New Delhi Railway Station. There are about 9 trains that run daily from Delhi to Agra Cantt. The first train departs New Delhi Railway Station at around 2:00 AM on Mondays and Thursday and arrives in Agra Cantt at around 5:30 AM. On other days, the first train departs at 5:15 PM and arrives in Agra Cantt Station at around 8:30 AM. The last daily train departs at around 10:30 PM and arrives at Agra Cantt Station at around 1:00 AM. Depending on the day, there are limited trains that depart New Delhi Railway Station at a later time.

Alternatively, you can also leave Delhi via Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. The daily train departs Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station (NZM) at around 4:30 AM and arrives in Agra Cantt at 8:15 AM. In some days, a train departs this station as early as 12:05 AM. The fare from NZM to Agra starts at around INR140 and can go up to INR1,145.
If you want to reach Agra Cantt by train faster, take the Gatimaan Express which runs daily except Fridays. It departs NZM at 8:10 AM and arrives in Agra Cantt Station at around 9:50 AM. It’s a semi hi-speed train so the travel time is less than 2 hours only. The fare for this train starts at INR420 for a regular seat and INR1,185 for an executive class seat with onboard meals. How to Go to Taj Mahal from New Delhi by Bus
There are plenty of bus operators that have a daily schedule of trips from Delhi to Agra like Taj Express Bus, Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport, National Holiday Travels, India Impact Tour & Travels, Mahalaxmi Travels and more. The fare starts at around INR300 and can go as high as INR560 depending on the type of bus and the bus operator. The pick-up and drop-off points vary depending on the bus company. The travel time from New Delhi to Taj Mahal by bus is around 4 hours.
What to do when you in Agra Cantt Station?
If took a train, you will be arriving at Agra Cantt Station. You can hire an Uber or OlaCabs if you have an internet. Otherwise, you can hire a prepaid taxi to your hotel or directly to Taj Mahal if you are on a day tour only. The prepaid taxi booth is at the opposite side of the train station’s entrance/exit.
