Guidelines for Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Travelers Arriving in the Philippines

The Philippine government has recently made changes to the quarantine requirements for Filipinos and eligible foreigners who are arriving in the Philippines. Fully vaccinated travelers coming from “green” countries are no longer required to undergo mandatory facility-based quarantine upon arrival. Fully vaccinated from “yellow” countries have a shorter quarantine period.

UPDATE as of 3 December 2021

Incoming passengers from Green List countries will follow quarantine protocols of Yellow List countries until further notice. Starting December 3, 2021, fully vaccinated travelers from green and yellow countries will have to undergo mandatory quarantine for 6 days. RT-PCR test will be done on the 5th day.

Green List Countries

There are currently 41 countries included in the “green” list. See the full list here.

Fully Vaccinated Travelers

  • Negative RT-PCR test shall be required to be taken within 72 hours prior to departure from the country of origin.
  • Facility-based quarantine upon arrival with RT-PCR test on the 5th day, with the date of arrival being the first day. See the latest list of Quarantine Hotels in Manila
  • Regardless of a negative result, all travelers shall undergo home quarantine up to the 14th day from the date of arrival.

Unvaccinated, Partially Vaccinated, or Vaccination Status Cannot be Verified

  • Negative RT-PCR test shall be required to be taken within 72 hours prior to departure from the country of origin.
  • Facility-based quarantine upon arrival with RT-PCR test on the 7th day, with the date of arrival being the first day.

  • Regardless of a negative result, all travelers shall undergo home quarantine up to the 14th day from the date of arrival.

Yellow List Countries

Countries not listed in the green and red categories, are on Yellow List.

Fully Vaccinated Travelers

Red List Country

As of 28 November 2021, the Red List countries are now expanded.

Fully Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Travelers

  • All arriving travelers must undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival
    • 10 days facility-based quarantine
    • 4 days home quarantine
  • RT-PCR testing on the 7th day, with day 1 being the day of arrival
  • Notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR result, all travelers must complete the 10-day facility-based quarantine.
