President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has issued a directive to suspend classes in all public schools at all levels and work in government offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) on Monday, July 24, 2023.
Meanwhile, some local government units have also made the decision to suspend classes and work due to the adverse weather conditions brought about by Severe Tropical Storm Egay.
This move was taken not only in response to the impacts of Tropical Storm Egay but also in anticipation of a three-day transport strike that is expected to further disrupt travel and commuting in the region.
