The food scene in Davao City has been buzzing with excitement over the past year, with the opening of many new restaurants and cafes.

Nestled in the heart of Davao City’s bustling downtown area, yet away from the busy streets, Before Weekend is a hidden gem of a breakfast spot. The open-air cafe serves up a sumptuous selection of breakfast dishes, all of which are best enjoyed with a glass of good coffee from Hid’n Coffee.

“Since the breakfast scene in Davao City is not yet as strong as in other cities, Before Weekend started to operate four days before weekend from Thursday until Sunday,” Sarah Dayrit, Co-owner of Before Weekend, said.

Justin Ching, President and CEO of Hid’n Coffee, said Before Weekend’s breakfast offerings are complemented by the coffee and beverages at Hid’n.

“When you come to Hid’n early in the morning, not only will you be able to enjoy a good cup of coffee but also a filling breakfast,” Ching said.

Before Weekend currently offers breakfast platters that have a variety of options. The Pinoy Platter includes rice, bulad (dried fish), beef chorizo, sunnies, salted egg, and seasonal fruits (rambutan & orange). Their Western Platter, meanwhile, consists of pancakes, beef bacon, chicken sausage, sunnies, seasonal fruits (rambutan & orange). Rice bowls, sandwiches, and add-ons are also available for customers who want to customize their meal.

Hid’n Coffee offers classic espresso-based drinks — Americano, latte, Spanish latte, and caramel latte — that are served iced or hot. It also offers pour-over coffee wherein guests have a selection of local and foreign coffee beans. Meanwhile, Hid’n Coffee’s signature drink is the Milo Espresso, a nostalgic chocolatey drink with a kick of coffee.

Since there are a good number of children coming to coffee shops on weekend mornings, Hid’n Coffee also serves non-coffee drinks that kids will love — Pink Milk and Milo Dinosaur.

“Your breakfast in Davao City is complete when you visit Hid’n Coffee and Before Weekend. Not only are your tummies filled, you also get to spend some quality time with friends and family at our quiet coffee shop,” Ching said.
