You are currently viewing 2025 Salary Grade in the Philippines

Wondering how much a government employee in the Philippines earns? This is the updated Salary Grade in the Philippines effective 1 January 2023 – the fourth and last tranche of the pay increase mandated by Republic Act (RA) 11466 (“Salary Standardization Law of 2019” or “SSL V), series of 2020.

Salary standardization in the Philippines refers to the process of establishing uniform compensation for various government posts. The government’s Salary Standardization Law (SSL), establishes the minimum and maximum pay for each position as well as the number of steps or “grades” within each position. Based on variables including experience, education, and performance, these grades are used to calculate the unique remuneration for each position. The SSL also offers recommendations for modifying compensation in light of changes in the cost of living and other variables. Salary standardization aims to ensure that public employees are paid equally and equitably as well as to encourage accountability and openness in how the government spends taxpayer money.
