The Polillo Islands, an archipelago of around 27 islands and islets, lie off the eastern coast of Quezon Province in the Philippines. The three largest islands, Polillo, Patnanungan, and Jomalig, all face the vast Pacific Ocean. Compared to the other two, Polillo boasts the most development. However, the island group as a whole remains relatively untouched.
Several ferry operators offer crossings between Real and Polillo, with trips running in both directions. Travelers departing Real for Polillo can choose from ferries departing as early as 1:00 am and as late as 5:30 pm. From Polillo, ferries heading back to Real depart as early as 4:30 am and as late as 9:00 pm. Travel times vary depending on the vessel type, with RORO ferries taking approximately three hours and faster options like fastcrafts completing the trip in under two hours.
